Literary translation became an obvious career choice for me about ten years ago. As a child, I always loved reading and writing, and I wanted to become a writer. As an adult, I discovered that I loved languages as well. And that’s how translation, and especially literary translation, came into play. Now, more than ever, words and languages are at the heart of my professional work. I use them to tell my own stories as well as to give French-speaking readers the opportunity to discover stories by foreign authors.
On my path to learning languages, I studied abroad in Germany. This decision vastly widened my horizons and changed my life. It’s at this time that I took steps towards becoming a literary translator.

Born with a paintbrush in one hand and a pen in the other, I started creating and telling stories at a very young age. Even then, I knew I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
